Personal Data Processing Policy

1. Operator and general provisions

The operator responsible for processing personal data on jaeger.moe is the owner of the jaeger.moe project (the “Operator”). For any questions about data processing, or to request correction, blocking, or deletion of your data, contact the Operator at: privacy@jaeger.moe.

This Policy is established in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data” and defines how data is processed and protected. By using the site, you confirm that you have read this Policy. The Policy is publicly available on every page where personal data is collected.

2. What data is processed

Depending on how you use the site, the Operator may process: your email address (used for code-based login), display name, game UID (if you choose to provide it), selected avatar character, list of favorite profiles, submitted Stygian Onslaught clears, screenshots attached to submissions, and their moderation status.

Technical data is also processed automatically: IP address, browser user agent, request date and time, visited pages, and error logs. This is used for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and site reliability.

The Operator does not collect special categories of personal data or biometric data. Do not enter information in your profile, submissions, or screenshots that you are not willing to make public.

3. Purposes of processing

Data is processed to: register and operate your account; sign you in via one-time code; display public profiles and approved clears; moderate submitted entries; protect the site from abuse; fix bugs and maintain reliable operation; and collect anonymized visit statistics.

4. Legal basis

Data necessary to provide the service (registration, code-based login, account and profile management) is processed to perform a contract to which you are a party — the site’s Terms of Use (clause 5, part 1, article 6 of Law No. 152-FZ).

Publication and disclosure of your data to the public (distribution) — your display name, game UID, and approved clears — is carried out solely on the basis of your separate consent under article 10.1 of Law No. 152-FZ, which is requested at the moment you submit a clear for publication.

Processing for anonymized visit statistics is carried out on the basis of your consent to the use of cookies.

5. Public content and distribution

Some information you add is public: your display name, public profile information, selected avatar, game UID (if provided), and approved Stygian Onslaught clears. This information becomes available to the public and may be indexed by search engines.

When you delete your account, published clears remain on the site in anonymized form: your display name is removed from the clear records themselves. Please note that your display name may appear in editorial descriptions written by moderators; such descriptions are independent site content. If you want a mention removed from a description as well, send a separate request to the Operator.

6. Cookies and web analytics

The site uses essential cookies and similar browser storage for login sessions, CSRF protection, security, and basic functionality. Anonymized visit statistics are collected using Yandex.Metrica (operated by a Russian company, with processing carried out within the Russian Federation). You can decline non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

7. Data storage and localization

Collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, update, and retrieval of personal data of Russian citizens are carried out using databases located within the Russian Federation (the server is physically hosted in Moscow). The Operator does not carry out cross-border transfer of personal data.

8. Sharing with third parties

The Operator does not sell personal data. Data may be shared only to the extent necessary to operate the site — with the hosting provider and the Yandex.Metrica analytics service — and in cases expressly required by law.

9. Retention and deletion

Data is processed while your account or your published content exists, or until you withdraw consent, unless its retention is required by law. Technical logs are kept for a reasonable period needed for security and maintenance. You can withdraw consent and request deletion at any time. The Operator reviews requests and responds within 30 days.

10. Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the processing of your data; to request its correction, blocking, or deletion where it is incomplete, outdated, or unlawfully processed; to withdraw consent; and to protect your rights and legitimate interests by the means provided by law. Requests should be sent to privacy@jaeger.moe.

11. Changes

This Policy may be updated as the site evolves. When material changes are made, the “last updated” date at the top will be changed.
